Who we are
consulado-mexicano.com is an independent editorial project created to help the Mexican community in the United States quickly and clearly find the information they need about the consulates of Mexico: addresses, phone numbers, hours, procedures and how to book an appointment.
We were born out of a real need: consular information is often scattered, spread across dozens of different official sites and not always easy to read from a phone. Our goal is to bring it together and present it in a simple, accessible way focused on solving specific questions.
Our mission
We want anyone —whether or not they have experience with procedures— to be able to understand in just a few minutes which consulate corresponds to them, what documents they need and how to schedule their appointment. We work with three principles:
- Clarity: we explain procedures in plain language, without unnecessary jargon.
- Accessibility: the entire site is designed to be read comfortably from a phone.
- Usefulness: we prioritize what the user is really looking for: address, phone, hours, requirements and appointments.
How we verify the information
Accuracy is our priority. For each consulate and each procedure we cross-check the data with official sources before publishing it:
- The official websites of each consulate within the SRE consular network (consulmex.sre.gob.mx).
- The official directory of Mexico's representations abroad.
- The official appointment channels: citas.sre.gob.mx and MiConsulado.
Even so, consular data (hours, addresses, phone numbers) can change. That is why we recommend always confirming the information on the consulate's official website before going, and we review our pages periodically. If you spot outdated data, you can let us know from our contact page.
What we are NOT
consulado-mexicano.com is an independent informational site. We are not the official site of the Government of Mexico, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) or any consulate. We do not manage appointments, we do not process passports or documents, and we do not represent any Mexican authority.
To carry out official procedures you must always go to the Government of Mexico's channels: gob.mx/sre and the official website of your consulate. You can find more details in our Legal Notice.
How we are financed
This site is completely free to access. To sustain the costs of maintenance, writing and hosting, we show advertising through Google AdSense. These ads never influence the content: consular information is produced with editorial and accuracy criteria, independently of advertisers.
You can learn how we process data in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
